Description

Osimert 80 mg is a prescription oral tablet that contains osimertinib, a third-generation EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitor (EGFR-TKI) developed specifically for patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) that carries specific EGFR gene mutations. These mutations, including exon 19 deletions, exon 21 L858R substitutions, and T790M resistance mutations, can cause cancer cells to grow and spread rapidly.  Osimert 80 mg works by selectively binding to these mutant EGFR proteins and blocking their activity, which can help stop or slow the progression of the disease. Unlike earlier EGFR inhibitors, Osimert Osimertinib 80 mg Tablet is designed to cross the blood-brain barrier, making it effective even in patients with brain metastases.
