Description

LuciSelume (Selumetinib) is a groundbreaking kinase inhibitor designed specifically for pediatric patients aged 2 years and older diagnosed with neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1). This innovative treatment effectively targets symptomatic, inoperable plexiform neurofibromas (PN), offering hope and a pathway to improved quality of life. Administered at a recommended dosage of 25 mg/m² taken orally twice daily on an empty stomach, LuciSelume is simple to incorporate into daily routines. For safety and maximum efficacy, patients should avoid food 2 hours before and 1 hour after each dose. For those with moderate hepatic impairment (Child-Pugh B), the dosage can be reduced to 20 mg/m² taken twice daily. Please note that the appropriate dosage for patients with severe hepatic impairment (Child-Pugh C) has yet to be established.
